Embracing the Prophets for Lent
Start your Lenten Evening Series on Sunday Morning at 9:15 in EB-1. Due to the six-session schedule, the series starts on Sunday February 26 and continues on Tuesday nights in Lent. This first session concentrates on Moses, Pharaoh, the Prophets and Us. What can Moses tell us today?
Following the first session, we resume on Tuesday Evenings, from 6:00-8:00pm in the Education Building #1. The specific dates are: February 28, March 6, 13, 20, and 27. Sign-up in the Parish Hall for a book and to bring soup, bread, or drinks. |

The Challenge of Jesus - Sundays @ 9:15am in EB#1.
The Challenge of Jesus is a 16-part journey (presented in 4 sections) through the history of the Roman Empire and the life of the Jews under their rule. During March we cover Part I, The World of Jesus. We will explore how Jesus and his message fit into this time and place, and what his message continues to mean for us today. Each session includes a 15-minute video presentation by John Dominic Crossan, leaving plenty of time for discussion and sharing.
In May we will cover Part II, The Life of Jesus, and Parts III and IV, The Death of Jesus and The Resurrection of Jesus in the fall. Put on your thinking caps, and join us to explore for ourselves The Challenge of Jesus. |
